  • Improving health in the developing world: what can national medical associations do?

    On Friday 30 June 2006, national medical associations from across the world will come together at BMA House to explore how they can influence positive change for the world's poorest people. They will be joined by a multi-disciplinary audience of experts. The Parliamentary Under-Secretary Secretary of State for International Development, Mr Gareth Thomas MP, will give the keynote speech.
  • Update for doctors on the Highly Skilled Migrant Programme, May 2006

    The BMA sought legal advice about the situation of doctors on the HSMP who are applying for posts, it has also received a response from the Department of Health. Unfortunately, the situation relating to the HSMP remains extremely unclear.
