    These notes are to be read with the Postgraduate GP Educators Pay Scale. These posts are usually part time appointments, and most will be held by clinical practitioners working in primary care. They provide the basis for the expected competencies and responsibilities at each level of the scale and may be used to derive job descriptions, performance assessments and appraisal.
