Significant changes are occurring in the way in which NHS-funded care is provided. These changes have already resulted in some doctors exploring new ways of working.
In recognition of this, the British Medical Association has launched
BMA Business Support, to provide reliable and authoritative information and guidance to those BMA members who wish to explore the opportunities, and leading to a future offering of business skills training workshops and consultancy.
If you are considering establishing a new business model or wish to find out how other doctors have organised themselves in this changing environment, you may wish to attend a BMA Business Support knowledge sharing and networking seminar from 18.30 - 21.30 hrs taking place at either the Crowne Plaza Hotel in Leeds on Wednesday 28 November or at the Holiday Inn in Guildford on Tuesday 4 December. The cost to attend is £20.00 incl VAT, which includes refreshments.
The seminar will provide you with an overview and advice on the changes in the primary and secondary care sectors as a consequence of the ongoing NHS reforms, and facilitate debate on how, in the context of the changing nature of the health service, NHS care may be delivered to patients through the development of new business models.
If you have any queries about this event, please contact BMA Conferences by email at
confunit@bma.org.uk or telephone on 0207 383 6605/6137.
Places will be allocated on a strictly first come, first served basis. Full programme details will be sent to registered attendees shortly.
