Implementation Coordination Group (ICG) - Case submission form

August 2006

The role of the Implementaiton Coordination Group (ICG) is to consider issues of implementation of the new General Medical Services (GMS) contract, and act as a dispute resolution mechanism where any problem cannot be resolved at local level in the first instance. ICG members are drawn from the Department of Health (DoH), General Practitioners Committee (GPC) and NHS Employers (NHSE).

Local medical committees (LMCs) can submit cases to the ICG by completing the LMC submissions form and emailing or faxing it to their regional liaison officer in the GPC. Please read the ICG Terms of Reference and Shared Learning Points before submitting cases.

Strateghic health authorities (SHAs) can submit cases to the ICG via NHS Employers at the following website - www.nhsemployers.org/primary/primary-904.cfm
